Hokkaido University (HU) hosted “Sustainability Weeks 2010”　with the goal of helping to create a sustainable society. The year marked the fourth year of the event and HU encouraged young researchers to participate. The assembly of researchers, educators, students，and citizens from home and abroad to share and discuss the latest scientific knowledge helped us to identify the next steps toward a better future.
